This piece is one of the most traditional Mexican embroideries from the region of Oaxaca.
This exquisite blouse is made in chain stitch on an antique treadle stitching machine, and hand directed by women artisans of the Itzmo de Tehuantepec.
A work of art made with fine details.

This style of embroidery was made popular by the artist Frida Kahlo, who was often portrayed wearing this type of "huipil" - a blouse with a traditional straight cut, sewn on one side.

This blouse can be beautifully combined with a denim jacket or a more formal garment.

As all our Luna Viva garments they are very versatile, you can wear them on hot summer or spring days, or in winter with a long sleeve t-shirt or jumper, making them even more sustainable.
