Rectangular shapes dominate this unique blouse design that is both modern and traditionally Mexican. This design is a reinterpretation of machine-made chain embroidery. It is a representative handmade piece from the Isthmus of Tehunatepec, as it was handmade in Tehunatepec in Oaxaca, Mexico. The square cut of this model allows it to fit any type of body, thin or curvy. This blouse shape is known as "Huipil". It is a blouse with a traditional straight cut, sewn on the side. This blouse can be wonderfully combined with a denim jacket or a more formal garment. This blouse was handmade by women artisans from communities in Oaxaca, Mexico, whose work is part of an integral program that promotes their economic growth, community participation, human education and improved health. The women artisans receive fair compensation for their work. There may be minimal deviations in the shape of the embroidery and the dimensions. This is not a flaw but proof of real handwork and that it is a natural product.
